One of our top corporate goals is the careful, sustainable management of resources. As a battery manufacturer we are conscious of our great responsibility to the environment and to society. We are consistently optimizing our activities so that we can act in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner.
The key to sustainability is resource-efficient production. We are investing in sustainable production. We are developing premium-quality batteries that feature a long operating life and we operate our own recycling facilities for used batteries. By continually improving the operating life and performance of our batteries, we firstly ensure maximum customer satisfaction. Secondly, we are making an important contribution to the efficient use of resources.

Sustainable Production
In our production we pay particular attention especially to the saving of energy and resources, and also to the reduction of emissions. Our electric power consumption is generated exclusively from 100% hydroelectric. In addition, we are consistently optimizing our materials consumption.
Recycling
Right in the development phase we emphasize the recycling of our products. In addition, we operate our own recycling system for used silver oxide batteries and cooperate with recognized recycling partners.
Reduction of energy consumption
We endeavor to reduce the energy consumption and to improve the energy efficiency through our consistent improvement process. This is how we consistently reduce our consumption of electricity, fresh water, heating oil and our production reject rate.
Optimizing the Energy Efficiency
We check the energy efficiency of all new purchased facilities and equipment. Even our older facilities are also regularly checked.
Waste
We separate and reduce our commercial waste. We prevent unnecessary waste and wherever possible transfer the waste for recycling.
Informed Employees
We instruct and motivate our employees toward responsible and environmentally aware behavior. We encourage them to handle resources sparingly and to separate even private waste, such as PET-bottles or paper, and to reduce the consumption of electricity and water.

We cooperate with qualified disposal partners who are operating according to equivalent environmental guidelines.
PET-Recycling Environmental Certificate
In year 2020 alone we collected more than 18,000 PET bottles for PET-Recycling Schweiz. A total of more than 500 kg of PET bottles were sent out for reprocessing. Around 1530 kg of greenhouse gas and 485 liters of petroleum were thus saved to benefit the environment.

Workplace safety is our top priority
Safety of our employees is important to us. Many workplace accidents can be prevented due to careful preventative measures. We reduce potential hazards at the workplace through regular safety meetings, inspections and verifications.
